There is a Common observation that the academic libraries are changing faster than their information technology. University Grant Commission and higher education experts are concerned about quality of higher education and they want to develop higher education infrastructure in Academic libraries. Essentially everything is changing in academic libraries such as services, technologies, organizational constructs etc. Explain NAAC concern for quality of library practices as well as NAAK set of best practices in academic libraries. Most of the Academic Libraries in India have been facing financial as well as technological constrains. With the advantages of computers the nature of academic libraries has changed dramatically. Academic library improving the services of the college libraries are being proposed here while evaluating the criteria of selection of the best academic libraries.
