Some commercial software packages are now available in the market for managing citations, but most of them are unaffordable by a research scholar. This paper describes about the functions of Zotero, open source software for managing citations and also explores the capacities of Zotero to represent citations. An attempt has been made in this paper to integrate Zotero, the open source citation management software by the researchers at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar to collect, organize, cite and share their resources more efficiently.
