Social media is a phenomenon that has transformed the interaction and communication of people throughout the world. In the recent years, having a presence on social media becomes especially important for libraries. This study aims to present the definition of social media, and awareness of social media in Government Degree colleges in Kadapa district and also explain the benefits of using social media, introduce social media platforms that libraries are using.
